Child Safety Standards
These Child Safety Standards are published by Novu Live (the "App"), operated by Novu Cosmic LLC. They explain our zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), how users can report concerns, and how we respond.
1. Adults only
Novu Live is strictly for users aged 18 and over. Users must enter a date of birth showing they are 18 or older at registration. Accounts that appear to belong to a minor are suspended and reviewed.
2. Strictly prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated content
- Any sexual or sexualized content, conversation or livestream involving a minor
- Grooming, enticement, sextortion, or any attempt to contact, manipulate or meet a minor
- Sharing, requesting, linking to or advertising CSAM or child exploitation content
- Child trafficking, abuse, threats, violence or any conduct that endangers a child
3. How to report
Users can report any profile, post, comment, room, livestream or private message directly in the app using Report (available on profiles, posts, rooms and chats). Reports are sent to our moderation team together with the relevant content for review. You can also report a concern by email to safety@novulive.com.
4. Review and enforcement
Child safety reports are prioritized and reviewed within 48 hours. Depending on the case we remove content, close rooms, end livestreams, restrict messaging, permanently ban accounts and restrict devices or IP addresses. Banned users may not create new accounts.
5. Reporting to authorities
We comply with all applicable child safety laws. Where we become aware of CSAM or a child at risk, we preserve the relevant information and report it to the competent authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and regional or national law enforcement, as required by law.
6. Prevention
- 18+ age requirement at registration
- Human moderation of reported profiles, posts, rooms and messages
- Blocking tools that let users stop all contact from another user
